Nestled at the heart of Cenang Beach, what a female need is in Melatis VIP Female Dorm. Damian, the owner and Elle, was nice and very accomodating. I am very glad that I picked the right hostel since it was my first time to stay at hostel. When I came in, there was no receptionist but they left a note with my keys, that I can go inside and fix my stuff .
The location of the dorm was perfect. A two mintues walk will bring you to the beach. However, the hostel was difficult to find for the first time since it was actually located at the corner. The UBER driver drop me off to wrong hostel.
TIPS:
1. The Melati VIP is near to Bella restaurant. Always look for the Melati Food Garden and beside the He/She Dorm. Its in the left side at the corner.
2. Bring slipper ( hotel slipper if you have) because shoes are not allowed inside.
3. There are two Melati's named hostel in Cenang, so you have to be careful.
4. You can wake up and go to bed anytime but bring your key always because the owner locked the glass door always. They will give you a key to your own locker so you can put your valuables.
5. Beside the dorm, at the ride side was a all-male dorm. Don't worry the place was still safe and private.
6. The hostel was walking - distance to shops, restaurants and 1 km to Underwater World. Its 400 meters from Rice Museum, Mausory Museum is 8 km and Langkawi airport is 4 km away from the dorm.
7. They offer a bike, scooter, motorcycle, and car rentals. The owner offer Island Hopping tour, for a cost of 90 MYR. Ask Damian and he's willing to help you.
8. The divider of each room was wood and curtain to cover you when you sleep.
9. Bring your best smile, be friendly to other girls inside the dorm and you'll good to go.
10. The bathroom was clean, with toilet tissue, shampoo and body wash. There are 3 toilets so you don't have to rush. Plenty of space to dry your clothes.
11. Bring your own bottle water and refill it to the airport. But if you don't have, the hostel offer a water but not for free.
Breakfast was fabulous. I appreciate Damian for his effort to prepare 2 slices of bread, a blueberry/strawberry jam and anchored butter and you can make your own coffee for free. They also offer a island tour hopping and mangroove tour.

HOW TO GET TO MELATI'S VIP FROM AIRPORT:
1. By taxi - it will take you about 30 minutes.
2. By UBER - it will take you about 30 mintues and cost you 20 MYR. I personally used UBER.
3. Renting a car - there are plenty of people offering rental car in the airport but be careful.
HOW TO BOOK:
1. Booking sites like hostel world, booking.com and many sites. But always check hidden charges. I booked my stay at Melati's VIP for 3 days and 2 nights to a booking site, booking.com for 80 MYR for a single bed. You can choose from bunk bed or single bed.
2. Send a message to their facebook page ( Melati's VIP Female Dorm ). Damian will be willing to reply to your inquiries.

Once you've tried hosteling, you'll get addicted to it. Its my first hostel and I love every thing about it. I didn't regret that I booked in Melati's VIP Female Dorm. I enjoyed every single day and really had a great time at Pulau Langkawi.
